Passing under five bridges eight times in a week isn’t something I had planned to do, but it was remarkably fun. This was to be a test trip for a possible Northwest Potters group sail to Tacoma, but my experience in Tacoma wasn’t as positive as I had hoped it would be.
The month of May brought us rain, wind and sunshine, all the ingredients for a great week on the water. We launched Whisper at Gig Harbor, and I soloed on the boat to Camp Sealth, Blake Island, Poulsbo, Elliott Bay and Port Orchard.
The day dawned with a promise of glorious weather.
