Kingston to Bremerton
It was around 10:30 am, a warm and sunny Friday morning, when I pulled into the Kingston Marina lot to meet my brother. Eric was ready to go, and after about 40 minutes of rigging, we were ready to lunch and launch. Fish-and-chips at a nearby pub set the stage for an easy, relaxed launch from the two-lane, grooved concrete ramp with finger dock. Although we launched at low tide, there was plenty of ramp and depth for Whisper.
Maintenance and upgrades, 2006
Whisper does require some maintenance. This article lists several of the things done to maintain and upgrade Whisper.
Gig Harbor and points north
The month of May brought us rain, wind and sunshine, all the ingredients for a great week on the water. We launched Whisper at Gig Harbor, and I soloed on the boat to Camp Sealth, Blake Island, Poulsbo, Elliott Bay and Port Orchard.
Port Orchard to Blake Island
Despite forecasts of rain and thunderstorms for the weekend of October 1 and 2, 2005, Frank Coletta in Harry P (P19 #346) and I in Whisper (P19 #1555) ventured forth from Port Orchard through Rich Passage for an overnight trip to Blake Island. We returned with well-washed sails.
